Training should normally be continuous. Additional training is required if training is interrupted by more than 2 years. Trainees must continue to register with the College during periods of interruption in order to continue receiving college communications and to be eligible to sit any examinations.
Total periods of leave during any single training period should not exceed 2 months, although individual circumstances will be taken into account.
Basic and advanced training must each be completed within 7 years otherwise further training will be required. At least 2 years of each must be completed on a full time basis. Within these restrictions, part time training and job sharing is acceptable.
