This scholarship places medical students with a doctor in a rural community. Students undertake a placement for a two week period every year for approximately four years. The placement may be in a supervised general practice, hospital, aboriginal community health service or other medical facility that provides primary care. An amount of $500 per week will be paid to cover for food and living expenses while on placement. Approximately 150 new placements are made availble every year.
