Risk Category Guide 2007/08. MDA National.
This Risk Category Guide is applicable to Professional Indemnity
Insurance Policies commencing between 1 July 2007 and 30 June 2008.
This Risk Category Guide outlines the various risk categories that apply
to the Professional Indemnity Insurance Policy (the policy),
underwritten by MDA National Insurance Pty Ltd (MDA National Insurance).
The policy excludes cover for matters arising from work performed
outside your Field of Practice.
The Field of Practice means the field of practice in which you
ordinarily provide medical services as set out in your policy schedule
and includes any field of practice or procedure notified to, and
accepted by MDA National.
The Field of Practice section on your policy schedule comprises:
* your specialty;
* your risk category (category level); and
* your Gross Annual Billings.
This Risk Category Guide will assist you in determining the appropriate
risk category.
Should your practice not fit within a single category, or you are
performing procedures not normally associated with your specialty,
please contact MDA National and they will assess your circumstances individually.
