Seminar Aims
• To share information about climate change and its impact in health care service delivery
• To show case innovative initiatives, structures, systems and strategies that have reduced the carbon
footprint in health care at any level of the organisation, including what worked well and what could have
worked better.
• To showcase innovations projects that have focussed on reducing the impact of health service delivery on
the environment including those that focus on:
• Improving patient care by improving energy efficiency anywhere in/ at any level of the organisation
• Engaging staff, patients and communities in initiatives to address climate change as it relates to health
service delivery, now and in the future
• Greening operations at any level of the organisation
• Sustainable facility development
Audience
Managers and professionals who:
• are concerned about the impact of climate change and want to pick up some new ideas to trial in their
own work place
• looking to reduce the carbon footprint in their own healthcare facility
• looking to achieve efficiencies in resource utilisation in an environmentally sustainable way.
