The Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria has announced the inaugural Victorian JMO award. This is designed to recognise the efforts of a pre-vocational junior doctor (interns or PGY2) who has made significant contributions to prevocational teaching and learning. The winner will receive a certificate and funding for accommodation, travel and registration fees for the 13th National Forum on Prevocational Medical Education to be held in Hobart later this year.
Candidates for the award must be nominated by July 18th 2008. The winner will be announced 30th July 2008. The winners of the JMO award in each state will be nominated for the National JMO award which will be announced at the Medical Education Forum.
