There is certainly a shortage of doctors in rural and remote Australia. Country rotations in medical school are a great opportunity to gain an insight into exactly what country practice involves. These have been positive experiences for many medical students. The city slickers at My Medical Career certainly look back at their rural rotations in medical school with a fond memory.
