A recent AMA Work Life Flexibility Survey of over 600 junior and senior public hospital doctors in Australia demonstrates the increasing importance being placed on work-life balance. 85% of doctors envisage needing flexible working or training arrangements within the next decade in order to spend more time with family and friends, and to counteract work-related stress.
